The Mount Shasta Experience
The Mount Shasta Experience is the realization of a long time vision of photographer Tim Corcoran. It is an audio-visual journey in and around the Mount Shasta Bio Region.
NorCal Planet helped Tim bring his vision to reality. We developed a script for the video and went through hundreds of photographs, hand picking the right photo for the different themes within the script. We added Ken Burns style effects to the photographs and we edited in sound and music. The end result is beautiful.
The Jackass Mercantile
Mike and Steve wanted a unique website where they could sell quality E Clampus Vitus merchandise to raise money for the ECV cause while maintaining a level of secrecy required by their organization.
We worked together to develop The Jackass Mercantile, an e-commerce site that reflects the ECV attitude. Using WordPress, the site allows the owners to easily add new products and content and to promote it through social network sites.
We developed a strategy combining SEO and social media, email and content marketing to build a following that creates a solid foundation for a successful online store.
Tim Corcoran Photography
Tim Corcoran wanted to build a beautiful website highlighting his nature photography and art books.
Creating a beautiful site was no problem using Tim’s amazing work. We designed and developed a site that utilized the colors and images of his art. The site is his art.
Tim can easily upload new photographs and share them with his followers on social media sites such as Facebook. This easily allows him to get the word out about his new work and attracts visitors to view his site. Visitors can also easily share photographs further stimulating interest in the site.
The Great Shasta Rail Trail
A consortium of non-profits are transforming an abandoned railroad between McCloud and Burney, CA into a trail system. They wanted a website to share information both privately and publicly about the project. They were operating on a limited budget.
We worked with stakeholders to collect content including photographs from volunteers. We even took our own photographs at no cost because we thought the project was so cool!
Volunteers can easily post new information to the site and visitors can follow progress in a variety of ways.
River Dancers
River Dancers wanted a site that was fresh, easy to navigate, and fully responsive to desktops and mobile devices. They also wanted to increase traffic to their site.
NorCal developed a long term strategy to increase traffic that included easy content and trip promotion through social networks, email marketing, keyword optimization, and online advertising. The site was streamlined for mobile devices while still providing a rich user experience on desktop computers. Site traffic can easily be monitored to measure the success of different online marketing strategies.
River Dancers offers white water rafting trips in Northern California on the Klamath, Upper Sacramento, Trinity, and Cal-salmon rivers. Go check them out!
McCloud Ski
We have to admit that we did not design this site. A local resident of McCloud, and an exceptional art director in the advertising world, donated his talent and time to promote the town as a ski destination.
We helped transfer the design into a functioning site with some SEO optimization and the ability to track the success of the campaign. We sat with the designer and adjusted every pixel and font until he was satisfied with the result.
The result is a site that is both functional and beautiful.
Didier Monath Art Production
Didier Monath wanted a simple site on a budget to display his portfolio of progressive modern art.
NorCal Planet worked with Didier to develop a simple but elegant site where each page has a unique layout that highlights the colors and luminescence of his art. We worked with Didier to develop his biography and descriptions of his techniques in a interesting and concise manner.
